Free Online Course (MOOC) in Integrated Landscape Analysis for the Biodiversity and Climate Crises
We are excited to announce that IHOPE’s affiliate TerraNova has developed a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) – Integrated Landscape Analysis: Addressing the biodiversity and climate crises – which is now open for enrollment. The course is free to enroll in and consists of 6 parts with 53 lessons. Participants will explore: the history of landscape management, key stakeholders, threats to landscapes, as well as practical methods that can be applied. In addition, there are corresponding readings and case studies to give more insight on the topics. Biodiversity change, climate change, and rewilding are some of the themes that run through the course.
We highly recommend the course for anyone who wants to learn more about the complexities of working with and understanding landscapes within the frame of contemporary environmental challenges like climate change. It would also be a useful supplement to existing courses on integrated landscape analysis. Because the course can be completed at your own pace, it is an excellent way to introduce new knowledge on landscapes in your free time. And upon completion of all of the modules, those enrolled will receive a certificate.
Over the next few weeks we will give you a few glimpses into what the modules in the course offer.
Enroll in the course to follow along with us.
